Kerry Honsinger received a B.A. in Architecture from the University of New Mexico and Master of Human Centered Design from the Institute of Design at Illinois Institute of Technology. She has been a design professional for over 20 years. Her previous work includes facility design & planning at Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM; Customer Experience Design for AMOCO Gas Stations and interactive design for both 3M and Smart Carte in Minnesota.
As a certified LEED AP, Kerry is the firm’s expert on sustainable design and strategy. With an education in Human Centered Design, she is particularly attentive to the human experience of architecture and the relationship between an individual and the space they inhabit.
A native of the southwest, Kerry has worked in the field of architecture in Durango for over 14 years and is very familiar with the local industry. After working with several firms in Durango, she has chosen to make her home with RA+A. Her Durango project experience includes Project Manager / Designer for commercial, healthcare, civic and educational facilities as well as numerous private residences. She has served as the firms’ LEED AP on a number of projects that have attained LEED. She also has BIM (Building Information Modeling) experience and graphical design experience.

Kerry spends her time outside of work exploring the mountains of Colorado and the red rock country of Utah through the activities of climbing, hiking, mountaineering, biking and skiing. When at rest, she enjoys capturing her vision of the mountains and desert through painting.
Kerry is in pursuit of her architectural licensure.
